Rabbit TNNT2/Troponin T Type 2 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of Troponin T Type 2 (TNNT2) in rabbit samples, this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and colorimetric detection. The assay is intended for research on cardiac muscle function and cardiovascular disease, including conditions such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, and cardiomyopathy, given that Troponin T Type 2 is a regulatory protein of cardiac muscle contraction that is released into the bloodstream after cardiac injury.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the manufacturer reports a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL with a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls between 82% and 105% for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n = 5), and recovery averages 97% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma and 96% for heparin plasma.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin incubation, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm. Components should be stored at 2-8°C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions, with the microplate strips and lyophilised standard additionally rated for 12 months at -20°C.
