Rabbit Smad1/MADH1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit in a double-antibody format for the quantitative measurement of SMAD1/MADH1 in rabbit samples. SMAD1/MADH1 is described as a key component of the TGF-β signaling pathway, with a role in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and development; dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, fibrosis, and developmental disorders. The assay uses colorimetric detection and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) was 81–100%, 81–100% and 88–94% for serum; 82–98%, 82–97% and 85–105% for EDTA plasma; and 85–100%, 87–101% and 82–99% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages were 95% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 93% for heparin plasma. The protocol uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin binding, TMB substrate development and absorbance reading at 450 nm, and unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
