Rabbit SELP, also known as P-selectin or CD62P, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein stored in platelet α-granules and endothelial Weibel-Palade bodies. Upon cellular activation, SELP translocates to the plasma membrane and mediates leukocyte rolling during the early inflammatory response and in thrombotic events.
This quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie measures SELP concentrations in rabbit-derived samples including serum specimens, plasma specimens, and tissue homogenate preparations. Each kit provides reagents for 96 assays in a microplate layout that supports mid-throughput laboratory workflows.
The product uses rabbit-specific capture and detection components and is intended for research use only in studies of platelet activation, atherosclerosis models, and vascular injury responses in rabbit in vivo systems. Reagents should be refrigerated at the temperature indicated on the package insert to preserve calibration performance across multiple plate runs.
