Description
A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantification of S100A6 in rabbit samples. The assay uses a double-antibody format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. S100A6 is a calcium-binding protein implicated in cell proliferation, differentiation, intracellular signaling and apoptosis, with dysregulation reported in cancer, inflammation and neurodegenerative disorders.
The kit reports a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL. The procedure uses a pre-coated plate incubated at 37°C for 90 minutes, followed by a biotin-labeled detection antibody (60 minutes), HRP-Streptavidin (30 minutes) and TMB substrate developed in the dark for 10–20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Reported linearity for serum at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85-104%, 92-104% and 94-105% respectively; EDTA plasma ranges are 83-98%, 83-93% and 84-95%; and heparin plasma ranges are 83-98%, 88-100% and 89-100%. Average recovery is 99% in serum, 98% in EDTA plasma and 96% in heparin plasma.
Components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, 100X biotin-labeled antibody, 100X HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealer and a technical manual, with kit storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.
