Rabbit Prolactin (PRL) ELISA Kit

Prolactin is a 23 kDa lactogenic peptide hormone secreted by lactotroph cells of the anterior pituitary, and in rabbits it plays a central role in mammary gland development, lactogenesis, hair follicle cycling, and the maintenance of pseudopregnancy. The Assay Genie Rabbit Prolactin (PRL) ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring circulating PRL in laboratory rabbit specimens across gestation stages, suckling stimuli, dopamine agonist or antagonist treatments, and seasonal breeding cycles.

Paired antibodies on a microplate capture PRL from rabbit-derived samples including serum fractions, plasma fractions, and additional biological matrices, producing an absorbance readout proportional to analyte concentration. The kit is supplied for 96 assays and includes reference standards for calibration. Intended for in vitro research use only, it supports studies of pituitary function, mammary physiology, and reproductive neuroendocrinology in rabbits.
