Rabbit Prolactin ELISA Kit

A quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie designed to measure prolactin in rabbit samples. Prolactin is a hormone involved in lactation, reproduction, and metabolism, and its dysregulation has been linked to conditions such as infertility, pituitary disorders, and breast cancer. The kit is intended for research in endocrinology, reproductive biology, and oncology, supporting studies of prolactin's functions in rabbit models.

The assay is a competitive ELISA coated with antigen, with a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measurement range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. It accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm. Unopened kits should be stored sealed at 2–8°C and should not be cryopreserved. The target protein is also known as PRL, Lactotrope, LTH, or Luteotropic Hormone (UniProt Q28632).

Linearity has been validated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with recovery averages of 95% in serum, 99% in EDTA plasma, and 97% in heparin plasma.
