Rabbit OC/BGP/Osteocalcin/Bone Gla Protein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of rabbit osteocalcin (also known as bone gla protein, BGP). Osteocalcin is a key marker in bone metabolism and is critical for bone formation and remodeling, making this kit useful for research into bone health, osteoporosis, and other bone-related disorders.

The double-antibody sandwich format offers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity for serum is 87–105% (1:2), 88–99% (1:4) and 86–99% (1:8); for EDTA plasma 92–104%, 84–96% and 81–97%; and for heparin plasma 90–105%, 83–93% and 86–97%. Spike-and-recovery averages were 97% for serum (range 93–101%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 90–103%) and 96% for heparin plasma (range 87–103%). The assay procedure involves reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) incubation for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
