Description

Designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of NTXI (Cross-Linked N-telopeptide of type I collagen) in rabbit samples, this Sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody configuration and a colorimetric detection method. NTXI is described as a key marker of bone turnover, supporting research into bone health, bone metabolism, and the efficacy of treatments for osteoporosis and other bone-related diseases in rabbit models.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported performance characteristics are a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563–100 ng/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is given as 86–90% to 83–101% for serum (n=5), 87–105% to 81–99% for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 92–101% to 86–98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery averages are 91% (serum, n=5), 94% (EDTA plasma, n=5) and 95% (heparin plasma, n=5). The protocol involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin binding step, TMB development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm. Unopened components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
