Rabbit Interleukin 4 (IL-4) ELISA Kit

Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a pleiotropic Th2-type cytokine central to B-cell class switching, IgE production, and allergic inflammatory cascades. In rabbits, quantifying IL-4 concentrations enables researchers to characterize humoral immune polarization in veterinary models of helminth infection, allergen sensitization, and vaccine adjuvant response.

This Assay Genie kit supplies a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, TMB substrate, and recombinant rabbit IL-4 standards sufficient for running a full plate of unknowns alongside a standard curve in duplicate. After incubation and washing, absorbance is read on a standard plate reader once the chromogenic reaction has been stopped.

Sample handling: collect serum or plasma using standard procedures, aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and store short-term under refrigeration or long-term frozen at -20°C or below. Cell culture supernatants and tissue homogenates should be clarified by centrifugation (e.g., 1000 x g for 10 minutes) prior to loading the plate.
