Rabbit IL-8 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of IL-8 (also referenced as CXCL8, NAP-1, GCP-1, MDNCF, and other listed synonyms) in rabbit-derived samples. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and provides a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL with a measurable range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL.

Validated linearity data demonstrate consistent performance across sample types and dilutions. For serum (n=5), linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions was 89-105%, 97-104%, and 92-102% respectively. EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 85-98%, 83-94%, and 83-98% across the same dilutions, while heparin plasma (n=5) gave 81-87%, 82-99%, and 82-97%. Spike-and-recovery testing showed serum (n=5) recovery of 90-102% with a 96% average, EDTA plasma (n=5) of 85-100% with a 95% average, and heparin plasma (n=5) of 83-105% with a 93% average.

The procedure follows six steps: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and addition of stop solution with absorbance read at 450 nm.
