Rabbit IL-16 ELISA Kit (RBFI00135)

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody, colorimetric format for the quantitative measurement of interleukin-16 (IL-16) in rabbit samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity for serum (n=5) is 95–103% at 1:2, 91–101% at 1:4 and 82–93% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5) 87–97%, 83–99% and 84–96%; and for heparin plasma (n=5) 88–103%, 84–100% and 83–93%. Reported recoveries range from 85–102% in serum (average 95%), 86–100% in EDTA plasma (average 92%) and 85–103% in heparin plasma (average 95%).

The protocol involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody binding, 30-minute HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Serum is clotted and centrifuged at 1000 × g for 20 minutes; plasma is collected with anticoagulant and centrifuged at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
