Rabbit IL-15 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of Interleukin-15 (IL-15) levels in rabbit serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Using a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format, the assay delivers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL across a range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. IL-15 is a key cytokine that modulates immune responses by promoting the proliferation and activation of natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ T cells, making it a valuable biomarker for studies of immune function and disease pathogenesis in rabbit models.

The protocol involves equilibrating reagents to room temperature, loading standards, samples and blanks onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added for a 60-minute incubation, followed by HRP-Streptavidin for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is added and incubated in the dark for 10–20 minutes before stopping the reaction and reading absorbance at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidelines include clotting and centrifuging serum at 1000 × g for 20 minutes, collecting plasma with anticoagulant tubes centrifuged at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C, and lysing cells with a buffer containing protease inhibitors. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with the lyophilized standard and plate strips also suitable for 12 months at -20°C.

Reported linearity across dilutions spans 85-101% for serum and plasma samples, with recovery ranging from 85-105% (averaging 91-94%) across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. The kit's Uniprot reference is Q3Y5G8.
