Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie, designed for the quantitative detection of Interleukin 12 (IL-12) in rabbit-derived samples. The double antibody assay has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. It is reactive with rabbit and validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit targets IL-12 (also known as NKSF, CLMF, Natural Killer Cell Stimulatory Factor, and Cytotoxic Lymphocyte Maturation Factor; UniProt G1TBD7), a cytokine involved in immune regulation, T cell and natural killer cell activation, and implicated in inflammatory and autoimmune disease research. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

The protocol proceeds through reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding (60 minutes at 37°C), HRP-Streptavidin binding (30 minutes at 37°C), TMB color development (10-20 minutes in the dark), and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 85-101%, 87-99% and 84-92% for serum; 85-103%, 82-96% and 82-94% for EDTA plasma; and 85-105%, 95-101% and 82-100% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges were 91-103% in serum, 93-102% in EDTA plasma and 88-103% in heparin plasma.
