Description

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, configured as a double-antibody assay for the quantitative measurement of Insulin-like Growth Factor II (IGF-II) in rabbit samples. The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 2.813 ng/mL and a measuring range of 4.688–300 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions: serum (n=5) at 86–104%, 85–102% and 85–103%; EDTA plasma (n=5) at 83–96%, 84–100% and 82–96%; heparin plasma (n=5) at 86–96%, 80–95% and 97–100%. Spike-recovery testing gave averages of 97% for serum (range 93–103%), 97% for EDTA plasma (range 86–103%) and 96% for heparin plasma (range 86–101%).

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The workflow runs through plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution. IGF-II is a key growth factor regulating cell growth, development, metabolism and tissue repair, and is studied as a biomarker across multiple disease states.
