Rabbit HIS (Histamine) ELISA Kit (RBFI00167)

A competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of histamine in rabbit samples. The assay uses an antigen-coated, competitive format with colorimetric detection and is suited to research on inflammatory responses, allergic reactions, and gastric acid regulation, where histamine is a relevant biomarker.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and a working range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions in serum (n=10) at 85-105%, 86-97%, and 80-98%; EDTA plasma (n=10) at 94-101%, 84-101%, and 86-94%; and heparin plasma (n=10) at 85-105%, 84-96%, and 81-100%. Recovery in serum averaged 95% (range 85-104), in EDTA plasma averaged 98% (range 91-104), and in heparin plasma averaged 94% (range 86-105). Kits should be stored sealed at 2-8°C and not cryopreserved.

The workflow involves equilibrating TMB substrate, incubating standards or samples with biotin-labeled antibody, washing, developing with TMB substrate, stopping the reaction, and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
