Rabbit Galectin-3 ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Galectin-3 (GAL3), a multifunctional protein implicated in cell adhesion, migration and inflammation, in rabbit serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format in which a capture antibody specific to the target protein is pre-coated onto the wells of a microplate.

After incubation with standards and washing, a biotinylated detection antibody binds the captured analyte, followed by HRP-conjugated streptavidin and TMB substrate. Addition of stop solution produces a yellow colour that is measurable at 450 nm, with absorbance proportional to GAL3 concentration. The assay has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL, with storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Validated linearity for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions ranges from 80% to 104%; recovery experiments in the same matrices show average recoveries of 93-94%. The kit also includes Bradford reagent for total protein quantification to support sample normalization, and is intended for research use only.
