Rabbit ET-1/Endothelin 1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of endothelin-1 (ET-1) in rabbit samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a competitive ELISA format coated with antigen and is read colorimetrically at 450 nm. Sensitivity is reported as 0.625 pg/mL, with a working range of 1.25–80 pg/mL.

Endothelin-1 is a peptide involved in regulating vascular tone and blood pressure through vasoconstriction, and is implicated in cardiovascular disease, fibrosis, and hypertension, making the kit suitable for research into these conditions. The kit should be stored at 2–8 °C (sealed) and not cryopreserved.

Reported linearity for serum (n=10) is 88–102% at 1:2, 87–104% at 1:4, and 85–95% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=10) 84–101%, 82–98%, 85–101%; and for heparin plasma (n=10) 82–98%, 82–98%, 87–98%. Recovery averages are 93% for serum, 99% for EDTA plasma, and 95% for heparin plasma. The protocol includes sample and biotin-antibody incubation at 37 °C for 45 minutes, five washes with 1-minute soak time, TMB color development at 37 °C for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
