Rabbit EPO/Erythropoietin ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Erythropoietin (EPO) in rabbit samples. Designed for research use, the assay targets this key hormone that regulates red blood cell production and is implicated in disorders such as anemia, chronic kidney disease, and cancer. The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Using a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the assay reports a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a working range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL. Workflow involves incubation of standards and samples on a pre-coated plate, binding of a biotinylated detection antibody, addition of HRP-streptavidin, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution is added. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

Reported linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n = 5) ranges between 82% and 105% across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions. Recovery averages 98% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma and 96% in heparin plasma, with corresponding ranges of 88–105%, 87–104% and 85–103%.
