Rabbit COX-1/PTGS1 ELISA Kit

Designed for research applications in inflammation and pain pathways, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative detection of COX-1 (PTGS1), also known as prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 1, in rabbit samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, and is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.625–40 ng/mL. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with reported ranges of 81–98% / 86–98% / 82–101% for serum, 82–100% / 85–100% / 89–100% for EDTA plasma, and 85–102% / 86–98% / 82–94% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery averages are reported as 92% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma. The assay workflow involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C, followed by biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin binding steps, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Reagents are stored at 2–8 °C for up to 12 months.

COX-1 plays a key role in producing prostaglandins and has been linked to numerous inflammatory conditions, making it a relevant biomarker for studies of inflammatory pathways and potential therapeutic targets.
