Rabbit COL1A2/Collagen I Alpha 2 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Rabbit COL1A2 (Collagen I Alpha 2) ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format, designed for the accurate quantification of COL1A2 levels in rabbit samples. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. COL1A2, a key component of collagen type I, plays a critical role in maintaining the structural integrity of tissues such as skin, bones, and tendons, and its dysregulation is associated with fibrosis, osteogenesis imperfecta, and connective tissue disorders.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL, and the kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The procedure uses a TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Linearity across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) is demonstrated with serum at 87-104%, 89-96% and 90-98%; EDTA plasma at 92-97%, 90-101% and 90-100%; and heparin plasma at 88-104%, 83-94% and 84-100%. Recovery ranges from 86-103% in serum, 87-102% in EDTA plasma and 95-102% in heparin plasma, with an average of 99% across all three matrices.
