Rabbit CNTF/Ciliary neurotrophic factor ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of rabbit Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor (CNTF), a neurotrophic factor implicated in the survival and differentiation of neurons and a relevant biomarker in studies of neurological disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It is a double-antibody sandwich assay with a stated sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measuring range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, and absorbance is read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development.

Reported linearity for serum (n=5) is 90-103% at 1:2, 94-98% at 1:4 and 96-100% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5) 83-100%, 83-100% and 83-97%; and for heparin plasma (n=5) 83-90%, 87-98% and 85-96%. Spike-and-recovery values are serum 86-96% (average 90%), EDTA plasma 85-101% (average 95%) and heparin plasma 85-104% (average 94%).
