Rabbit Calmodulin ELISA Kit

A colorimetric double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, developed for the precise quantitative measurement of calmodulin in rabbit-derived samples. Calmodulin is a key regulatory protein involved in intracellular signalling pathways, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release and gene expression, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cardiac arrhythmias, neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.

The assay accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 46.875 pg/mL and the working range is 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Recovery was assessed in serum (range 82-98%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 88-100%, average 93%) and heparin plasma (range 80-98%, average 87%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is given for serum (80-89%, 82-99%, 86-96%), EDTA plasma (82-97%, 80-99%, 81-90%) and heparin plasma (92-99%, 80-94%, 80-100%).

The protocol uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm following incubation at 37°C. The kit is intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.
