Rabbit BDNF ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) in rabbit samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric readout, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. According to the manufacturer, linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions falls within 92–103% for serum, 82–101% for EDTA plasma, and 80–100% for heparin plasma, while average recoveries of 94% (serum), 95% (EDTA plasma), and 93% (heparin plasma) are reported. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The procedure involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, followed by sequential additions of a biotin-labelled detection antibody (60 minutes at 37°C) and HRP-Streptavidin (30 minutes at 37°C). Colour is developed with TMB substrate for 10–20 minutes in the dark, stopped, and absorbance read at 450 nm.
