Rabbit Apolipoprotein D ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of apolipoprotein D in rabbit samples. The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody format and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Apolipoprotein D is a protein involved in lipid metabolism and has been linked to research into conditions such as cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, and diabetes.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 2.344 ng/mL and a working range of 3.906–250 ng/mL. Reported linearity in serum (n = 5) spans 86–100% at 1:2, 83–101% at 1:4 and 80–97% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n = 5) gives 85–105%, 82–100% and 84–94%; heparin plasma (n = 5) gives 91–105%, 85–99% and 84–100% at the same dilutions. Recovery ranges from 89–104% (average 98%) in serum, 87–104% (average 95%) in EDTA plasma and 88–103% (average 97%) in heparin plasma.

All reagents are stored at 2–8°C and are stated to remain stable for 12 months. The assay procedure involves equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes and absorbance reading at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
