Rabbit Angiopoietin 2/ANG2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed to accurately measure the levels of Angiopoietin-2 (ANG2) in rabbit serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. ANG2 is a key factor in angiogenesis, the process of blood vessel formation, and plays a role in various physiological and pathological processes. Studying ANG2 levels can provide insights into conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and inflammatory disorders, making it an essential biomarker for research and therapeutic development.

Using a double-antibody Sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, the kit offers a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and an assay range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranged from 86–101%, 80–101%, and 83–97% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions respectively; EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 82–103%, 81–98%, and 81–99%; heparin plasma (n=5) showed 82–103%, 84–97%, and 83–96%. Recovery averaged 89% for serum (range 83–97%), 93% for EDTA plasma (range 84–98%), and 90% for heparin plasma (range 82–99%).

The assay workflow includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate color development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
