QuickStep Porcine Cortisol ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of cortisol in porcine serum and plasma samples. The assay uses the Competitive-ELISA principle, with a microplate pre-coated with Bovine Cortisol and an HRP-linked detection antibody. Optical density is read at 450 ± 2 nm, and sample concentration is determined by comparing the OD of samples to a standard curve. The assay is run colorimetrically and completes in 1.5h.

Sensitivity is 1.41 ng/mL, with a working range of 3.13-200 ng/mL. The kit recognizes cortisol in samples, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference observed between cortisol and analogues. It is recommended to perform the experiment with undiluted porcine serum and plasma samples. Reproducibility is reported with both intra-CV and inter-CV below 10%. Spiked-sample recovery was 90-104% (average 96%) for serum and 86-98% (average 93%) for EDTA plasma.

An unopened kit can be stored at 2-8°C for 6 months; after testing, unused wells and reagents should be stored according to the storage table in the manual. The kit supports research into porcine stress response, metabolism and immune function, and is intended for use by researchers and veterinarians.
