QuickStep Monkey Cortisol ELISA Kit

This competitive-binding enzyme immunoassay from Assay Genie provides quantitative determination of cortisol in non-human primate research specimens. Supplied in a microplate configuration with reagents for 96 individual determinations, the kit is validated for serum-type specimens as well as EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples drawn from primate research studies.

Cortisol is the principal glucocorticoid secreted by the adrenal cortex and serves as a key biomarker for hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis activity, circadian rhythmicity, and acute or chronic stress responses in macaques, vervets, baboons, and related monkey species studied in laboratory and field settings.
