QuickStep Horse E2 (Estradiol) ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of estradiol (E2) concentrations in equine serum and plasma, Assay Genie's QuickStep Horse E2 (Estradiol) ELISA Kit is a competitive-ELISA assay with a colorimetric detection method. The assay is completed in 1.5 hours, with optical density measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 ± 2 nm.

Validated for horse samples, the assay reports a sensitivity of 3.46 pg/mL and a measuring range of 7.81-500 pg/mL. Specificity testing showed no significant cross-reactivity or interference between E2 and analogues, and both intra-assay and inter-assay CV values are reported at less than 10%. Recovery was 95-108% (average 101%) for serum and 91-106% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, within an overall stated recovery range of 80%-120%.

An unopened kit can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. The manufacturer recommends performing the assay with undiluted horse serum or plasma samples.
