QuickStep Chicken E2 (Estradiol) ELISA Kit

This competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of estradiol (E2) in chicken samples. The colorimetric assay is validated for use with serum and plasma and applies the Competitive-ELISA principle, where samples are added alongside an HRP-linked detection antibody and absorbance is read at 450 ± 2 nm following the addition of substrate and stop solution. The kit recognises E2 with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between E2 and analogues observed.

Performance characteristics include an assay time of 1.5h, a sensitivity of 3.18 pg/mL, and a measurement range of 7.81-500 pg/mL. Both intra-assay and inter-assay coefficients of variation are reported as < 10%, and overall recovery falls within 80%-120%. In validated sample matrices, serum recovery ranges from 84-100% with an average of 91%, and EDTA plasma recovery ranges from 89-103% with an average of 97%.

An unopened kit can be stored at 2-8°C for 6 months. After testing, unused wells and reagents should be stored according to the storage table in the manual.
