This competitive binding immunoassay from Assay Genie is purpose-built for quantitative measurement of unconjugated estriol (E3) in canine serum, supporting reproductive endocrinology and pregnancy-monitoring workflows in veterinary laboratories. The QuickStep platform consolidates pre-coated wells, calibrated standards, enzyme conjugate, substrate solution, and wash buffer into a single ready-to-use kit configured for 96 Assays per plate so a full standard curve and multiple unknowns can be processed in one run.

Estriol is a downstream metabolite of estradiol-17β produced in rising concentrations during canine gestation, making serum E3 a useful marker in whelping timing studies, luteal function research, and evaluations of adrenal or placental steroidogenesis. Because the analyte is a low-molecular-weight unconjugated steroid, the assay relies on competitive binding rather than a sandwich configuration, allowing small steroid molecules to compete with coated antigen for a limited pool of specific antibody.

Each microplate is supplied with a complete buffer set, package insert, and sealed foil pouch to protect the coated strips; reconstituted reagents should be stored refrigerated between uses to preserve calibrator stability across the run. The kit is designated for in vitro research use only and is intended for trained laboratory personnel working with canine serum specimens.

Assay Genie provides the QuickStep Canine E3 ELISA Kit to laboratories studying canine reproductive physiology, breeder health screening programs, and translational models of steroid hormone regulation.
