Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA kit provides a lysate-free, high-throughput method for the qualitative determination of the QORX protein (also known as TP53I3 / Quinone oxidoreductase PIG3) in cultured human cells. The indirect ELISA format uses target-specific primary antibodies captured on the plate, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody to generate a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm after substrate addition. Both anti-target and anti-phospho-target antibodies are included, allowing assessment of total and phosphorylated QORX.

The kit is intended for use with adherent cells and can be used to measure relative QORX levels, compare expression profiles between conditions, or screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), and activators. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalisation, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allows absorbance values to be normalised to cell density. The assay has a dynamic range of greater than 5000 cells, uses a 96-well microplate format, and components are stored at 4 °C for up to 6 months.

According to the supplied database information, the QORX target is encoded by the TP53I3 gene (Gene ID: 9540; UniProt: Q53FA7), with a molecular weight of 25,402 Da. The encoded protein is a member of the zinc-containing alcohol dehydrogenase family, possesses NADPH-dependent quinone oxidoreductase activity, and is implicated in p53-mediated cellular responses to oxidative stress and irradiation.
