QNs (Quinolones) ELISA Kit

The QNs (Quinolones) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a competitive immunoassay for quantitative screening of fluoroquinolone antibiotic residues in edible animal products. Antibody-coated wells compete with quinolones in the test sample for binding sites, and an enzyme conjugate produces a measurable color change that inversely reflects analyte concentration. The procedure accommodates muscle, milk, milk powder, and urine sample matrices with minimal preparation.

Each well requires a small prepared sample volume of around 50 µL, supporting efficient plate usage. Unopened kit components remain stable refrigerated until the kit expiry date printed on the label; reconstituted conjugate and standards should be kept cold and protected from light between runs.

Typical applications include surveillance of veterinary drug residues in dairy herds, meat processing facilities, and aquaculture operations, as well as quality control in contract laboratories performing in vitro residue screening against regulatory maximum residue limits. The kit is supplied in a microplate format with reagents sufficient for the stated number of determinations.
