Prostate-specific Antigen Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the precise measurement of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels in cell culture samples using adherent cells. This Prostate-specific Antigen Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is a lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay that detects PSA protein expression profiles in cells, supporting measurement of relative PSA amounts in cultured cells and screening of treatment, inhibitor, or activator effects on PSA.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which PSA is captured by PSA-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction at 450 nm upon substrate addition. Because the assay is qualitative, two normalization methods are provided: a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control for target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is used to determine cell density so absorbance values can be normalized to cell amounts and plating differences adjusted.

Reactivity is human, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and the kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format for storage at 4°C with 6 Months stability. The product supports research into prostate cancer diagnosis, prognosis and treatment evaluation, where PSA is a key biomarker.
