Tryptase is a serine protease stored in the secretory granules of mast cells and released during degranulation, where it serves as a quantitative biomarker for mast-cell activation. Investigators working with porcine models of allergy, anaphylaxis, asthma, and mucosal inflammation use this Assay Genie kit to measure tryptase concentrations in serum-type matrices from swine research models.
The kit is supplied in a 96-assay format with a pre-coated microplate, capture and detection antibody reagents, substrate solution, wash buffer, and a serial dilution standard set. A typical workflow loads diluted sample and reference standard per well, with absorbance values read against the standard curve to interpolate unknown concentrations. All reagents arrive in single-use vials sized to the 96-reaction plate layout.
Unopened components should be refrigerated on arrival and remain stable through the labeled shelf life; reconstituted standards are best aliquoted and frozen for repeated use across experiments. Each kit ships as a single-use research reagent intended for in vitro work with porcine samples and is not cleared for clinical diagnostic use in human or veterinary patient care.
