Porcine Tryptase (MCT7) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the accurate quantification of porcine tryptase (MCT7) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit shows reactivity with porcine (pig) samples and is calibrated for use with natural and recombinant pig Tryptase, also referenced by the synonyms MCT7 and 3.4.21.59.

The assay offers a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.47 ng/ml. Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 is reported at 97-107%, 82-95%, 101-111%, and 103-115% for serum; 90-100%, 104-116%, 107-115%, and 101-111% for EDTA plasma; and 103-113%, 82-92%, 101-113%, and 97-106% for heparin plasma. Tryptase is the major neutral protease present in mast cells and is secreted upon the coupled activation-degranulation response of this cell type; the protein is a homotetramer released from secretory granules upon mast cell activation.
