Trypsin is a pancreatic serine protease secreted by the exocrine pancreas as the inactive zymogen trypsinogen, and quantifying its circulating levels in pigs gives researchers a direct window onto exocrine pancreatic function. The Assay Genie Porcine TRY (Trypsin) ELISA Kit is configured as a 96 Assays microplate format with a colorimetric readout, supporting quantification of trypsin in porcine serum or plasma specimens.

Applications include veterinary diagnostics of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in swine herds, gastrointestinal research in pig models, and nutritional studies examining diet-driven changes in pancreatic enzyme output. The kit follows a standard solid-phase immunoassay workflow: pre-coated capture antibody, sample and standard incubation, enzyme-conjugated detection antibody binding, substrate addition, and absorbance measurement on a standard plate reader.

Each kit contains reagents sufficient for 96 Assays and is intended for research use only. The assay is species-specific to Sus scrofa (porcine) and has not been validated for cross-reactivity with trypsin from other species. Researchers working on pig nutrition, digestive physiology, or pancreatic pathology can use this kit to generate quantitative trypsin data from serum or plasma samples.
