Porcine TNNT2/Troponin T Type 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double-antibody immunoassay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of porcine Troponin T Type 2 (TNNT2) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The colorimetric kit targets the cardiac troponin isoform (synonyms: cTnT, TNNT2, Troponin T Type 2, Cardiac; UniProt G0W2Z2), a protein central to cardiac muscle contraction and used as a biomarker in research on porcine cardiac injury and heart disease.

According to the manufacturer's specification, the assay has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a measuring range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Linearity (n=5) was 85-104%, 83-100% and 81-100% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions in serum; 85-103%, 85-100% and 82-95% in EDTA plasma; and 93-103%, 88-97% and 90-104% in heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery averaged 98% for serum (range 94-103%), 99% for EDTA plasma (range 85-104%) and 92% for heparin plasma (range 85-98%). Unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The workflow uses a biotinylated detection antibody followed by HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding and TMB-based colour development, with TMB incubation carried out in the dark for 10–20 minutes. The reaction is terminated with stop solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm.
