Description

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie configured for the quantitative detection of TNFSF6/Fas Ligand in porcine samples, with reactivity confirmed for pig-derived specimens. The assay employs a double-antibody sandwich format and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (n=5) in serum (85–104%, 90–102%, 89–104%), EDTA plasma (84–95%, 83–96%, 88–99%) and heparin plasma (81–97%, 88–100%, 80–99%). Spike-and-recovery across the same three matrices yielded ranges of 89–105% (serum, average 98%), 85–100% (EDTA plasma, average 94%) and 88–105% (heparin plasma, average 98%).

The procedure uses a pre-coated microplate with biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), TMB colour development and absorbance readout at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C, protected from direct light where indicated, and the kit is stable for 12 months under these conditions. Fas Ligand, also known by synonyms including FASL, TNFSF6, FASLG, ALPS1B, APT1LG1, APTL, CD178 and CD95L, is a member of the TNF superfamily implicated in apoptosis and immune regulation, and is widely used as a biomarker in immunology and cell-death research.
