Porcine TNF alpha ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of porcine TNF-alpha in biological samples. The kit uses a colorimetric, double-antibody format and is intended for research into inflammation, immune response, and cell death, where TNF-alpha dysregulation has been linked to autoimmune, inflammatory, and infectious disease.

Manufacturer-stated performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported average recovery is 98% for serum (range 93-99%), 96% for EDTA plasma (range 86-99%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 88-105%).

The assay protocol uses a pre-coated plate with sequential 37°C incubations: 90 minutes for antigen binding, 60 minutes with biotin-labelled detection antibody, and 30 minutes with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC). TMB substrate is added and incubated in the dark for 10-20 minutes, followed by stop solution and measurement of absorbance at 450 nm.
