Porcine TIMP4 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise measurement of TIMP4 (Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinase 4) levels in porcine samples. Using a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the assay is intended for research use and is reactive with porcine species. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) has been validated: serum (n=5) 86-103%, 82-94%, 87-100%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 88-103%, 87-101%, 80-99%; heparin plasma (n=5) 86-98%, 82-101%, 85-100%. Recovery ranges with averages are reported as serum (n=5) 90-98%, average 94; EDTA plasma (n=5) 89-100%, average 95; heparin plasma (n=5) 94-105%, average 99.

TIMP4 is a regulator of the extracellular matrix involved in tissue remodeling, wound healing, and inflammation, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular disorders. The assay procedure involves reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Kit components are intended to be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with the microplate strips and lyophilized standard also suitable for 12-month storage at -20°C.
