Porcine Secretin ELISA Kit

Developed by Assay Genie, this Porcine Secretin ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay designed to measure secretin levels in porcine samples for research applications. The kit supports investigation of porcine digestive physiology, where secretin acts as a hormone that stimulates the pancreas to release bicarbonate-rich fluid for neutralizing acidic chyme in the small intestine.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

Validation performance includes linearity of 88-99%, 85-89%, and 80-96% for serum (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions respectively; 85-105%, 83-96%, and 80-96% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 90-103%, 82-99%, and 81-93% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery averaged 93% for serum, 92% for EDTA plasma, and 99% for heparin plasma. The procedure involves reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and stop reaction with absorbance reading.
