Porcine Prolactin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of prolactin in porcine samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell lysis buffer or tissue lysis buffer, and other biological fluid samples. Prolactin is a hormone pivotal in regulating lactation and reproduction in pigs, contributing to mammary gland development, lactation, and fertility processes.

Performance characteristics include linearity assessed at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions: serum (88-101%, 87-101%, 86-103%), EDTA plasma (88-100%, 86-101%, 88-99%), and heparin plasma (87-95%, 83-95%, 84-100%). Recovery in serum ranged from 88-96% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma from 85-104% (average 92%), and in heparin plasma from 88-103% (average 95%). The protocol involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance measured at 450 nm.
