Porcine OC/BGP/Osteocalcin/Bone Gla Protein ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of porcine osteocalcin (also known as bone Gla protein) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Osteocalcin is a key marker of bone metabolism and plays a role in bone formation and mineralization, making changes in its levels relevant to bone disorders and metabolic conditions.

The assay uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Reported linearity spans 85–104% for serum, 86–103% for EDTA plasma, and 90–103% for heparin plasma across serial dilution ratios, while spike-and-recovery averages 95% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
