Porcine Neurotrophin-3 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables the precise measurement of neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) in porcine samples. The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is suited to research into the role of this neurotrophic factor in neuronal survival and differentiation and in the development and function of the nervous system.

Using a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the kit delivers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity for serum is 85–105% at 1:2, 89–105% at 1:4, and 88–103% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma, 83–92%, 85–96% and 84–100%; and for heparin plasma, 80–99%, 80–96% and 85–100%. Mean recovery is 97% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 92% for heparin plasma.

Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. The procedure involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
