Porcine Myoglobin/MYO ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA Kit designed for the precise measurement of myoglobin levels in porcine samples. The kit is reactive with porcine species and is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, based on a double antibody sandwich format.

Reported sensitivity is 0.469 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Linearity has been demonstrated across serum (84-101%), EDTA plasma (84-100%), and heparin plasma (80-102%) at serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8. Spike-and-recovery performance averaged 94% in serum (range 88-104%), 97% in EDTA plasma (range 88-105%), and 94% in heparin plasma (range 88-98%).

Stored at 2-8°C, the kit remains stable for 12 months. It has been referenced in research using myoglobin as a molecular biomarker for meat authentication and traceability (Ragucci et al., Food Chemistry, 2024).
