The Assay Genie Porcine MYD88 ELISA Kit enables quantitative measurement of myeloid differentiation factor 88 in porcine serum and plasma using a sandwich immunoassay format with colorimetric readout at 450 nm. MYD88 is a cytoplasmic adaptor protein essential for Toll-like receptor (TLR) and IL-1 receptor signaling, making this kit useful for studies of innate immunity, inflammatory response, and host-pathogen interaction in swine models.
Each kit provides pre-coated 96-well microplate strips, ready-to-use reagents, and standard curve material sufficient for 96 determinations. The assay is validated for porcine samples and supports veterinary research, vaccine development, and infectious disease investigations. Store all components at 2-8 °C, bring to room temperature before use, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the standard and conjugate. Research use only.
Beyond its core use in porcine serum and plasma, the Assay Genie MYD88 ELISA Kit is widely applied in infectious-disease and vaccinology research, including work on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), African swine fever virus (ASFV), and bacterial challenges such as Glaesserella parasuis, where MYD88-dependent signaling through IRAK kinases and downstream NF-kB activation shapes the cytokine response.
The microplate ships as twelve detachable 8-well strips pre-coated with capture antibody. Each kit also contains a lyophilized recombinant standard that reconstitutes to a 10 ng/mL top calibrator, 100x biotin-conjugated detection antibody, 100x HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25x wash buffer, plate sealers, and a standard-curve protocol yielding a typical working range of 0.156-10 ng/mL with a detection sensitivity near 0.06 ng/mL. The colorimetric endpoint is read at 450 nm once the HRP reaction has been stopped, and intra-assay precision is reported with CV <10% while inter-assay CV remains <12%.
For sample handling, dilute neat serum or plasma 1:2 to 1:4 before loading when analyte levels are expected to sit in the upper portion of the curve, and avoid dilutions greater than 1:10 because the recovery window narrows beyond that point. All kit components ship refrigerated and should be stored at 2-8 °C; the lyophilized standard, biotin conjugate, and HRP conjugate tolerate an additional 12 months at -20 °C if not consumed in the first month. Allow sealed reagents to equilibrate to room temperature before opening to prevent condensation on the strips, and protect the TMB substrate, detection antibody, and HRP conjugate from direct light. The kit is intended for research use only.
