Porcine Matrix metalloproteinase-20 (MMP20) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of porcine matrix metalloproteinase-20 (MMP20), also referred to as enamel metalloproteinase, enamelysin, or MMP-20. The assay is reactive with pig samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity toward natural and recombinant pig MMP20.

Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.081 ng/mL. MMP20 is a secreted extracellular-matrix enzyme (UniProt P79287; molecular weight 54,085 Da) that degrades amelogenin — the major protein component of the enamel matrix — as well as aggrecan and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP), and may play a central role in tooth enamel formation.
