Porcine Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13) ELISA Kit

A research-grade enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit from Assay Genie for quantifying porcine Matrix Metalloproteinase 13 (MMP13) in experimental specimens. MMP13, also called collagenase-3, is a zinc-dependent matrix metalloproteinase that preferentially cleaves fibrillar type II collagen and contributes to cartilage matrix turnover, subchondral bone remodeling, and inflammatory joint pathology.

In porcine translational models, circulating MMP13 levels are routinely tracked as indicators of osteoarthritis progression, cartilage degradation, and post-injury repair responses, making a species-matched immunoassay useful for longitudinal cartilage and joint studies. The kit is supplied in a 96-assay configuration, produces a colorimetric readout readable on a standard microplate spectrophotometer, and is intended for in vitro research use only.

Specimen preparation generally involves pre-diluting samples prior to loading so that readouts fall within the working range of the assay. The reagents are calibrated for porcine MMP13 detection, and cross-reactivity with non-target species has not been validated within this format.
