Porcine IL-4 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of porcine interleukin-4 (IL-4). The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format and is reactive with porcine samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity across dilutions 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 is 85–105%, 83–100% and 86–95% for serum; 87–105%, 83–101% and 82–98% for EDTA plasma; and 91–105%, 83–99% and 82–96% for heparin plasma (n = 5 each). Recovery ranges were 85–101% (serum, average 91%), 93–105% (EDTA plasma, average 99%) and 85–105% (heparin plasma, average 93%). Unopened kit storage is 2–8°C for 12 months.

The procedure includes reagent equilibration, loading of standards and samples, incubation at 37°C, addition of biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stop solution, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
