Researchers investigating pro-inflammatory cytokine signaling in porcine disease models can use this Assay Genie kit to quantify interleukin-17F (IL-17F) levels in cell culture supernatant samples, swine plasma, or serum specimens. IL-17F is a homodimeric cytokine secreted primarily by Th17 cells and innate lymphoid cells at mucosal surfaces, where it drives neutrophil recruitment, antimicrobial peptide production, and amplification of tissue inflammation.

The assay is configured for use with samples collected in infectious disease research, vaccine immunology, and gastrointestinal or respiratory inflammation studies. Work on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), swine influenza, Salmonella enterica infection, and inflammatory bowel models has used IL-17F as a marker of Th17-polarized immunity, and a quantitative ELISA enables comparison of experimental groups across time-course or treatment cohorts.

Each kit is supplied in a 96-assay format containing a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant porcine IL-17F standards, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, wash buffer, substrate solution, and stop reagent. The procedure follows an incubation and wash protocol, with absorbance read on a standard microplate reader. Researchers should follow the enclosed protocol for sample handling, and aliquoted samples stored at low temperature are recommended to preserve analyte integrity across freeze-thaw cycles.

Validated specifically for porcine reactivity, the kit provides defined assay precision and reproducibility characteristics suited to quantitative comparison. Reagents are intended for research use only.
